Cabinet Painting

1. Move all furniture to the center of the room or to another room.
2. Remove window coverings and put them in a safe place.
3. Remove all the cabinet drawers and doors.
4. Remove all hardware from doors and drawers.
5. Mask all windows with plastic and masking paper.
6. Mask the inner cabinet, the walls, and ceilings with plastic and masking paper.
7. Cover all floors with rosin paper and dropcloths as needed for protection.
8. Mask all fixtures and more as needed to protect against paint splatters.
9. Apply degreaser on all cabinets, drawers, and doors to remove contaminates.
10. Sand all the kitchen cabinets, drawers, and doors.
11. Dust and wipe down all surfaces.
12. Spackle nail holes and dings as needed on woodwork if applicable.
13. Caulk all joints on all doors.
14. Clean all surfaces before priming, painting, and between coats.
15. Prime all surfaces as needed with premium quality primer.
16. Allow for proper drying time between coats.
17. Sand all surfaces and correct any imperfections.
18. Dust and wipe down all surfaces.
19. Paint all surfaces with premium quality paint with a minimum of 2 coats with dry time in between each coat and light sand in between to maximize the durability and life of cabinets.
20. Remove all plastic, paper, and tape and clean up.
21. Install all cabinet drawers, doors, and hardware back in place.
