Our typical interior painting and finishes project uses these processes
to help ensure a high-quality paint job you’ll love.

  1. Move all furniture to the center of the room or another room.
  2. Protect and cover floors with dropcloths and, on some floors, use heavy-duty floor paper.
  3. Work with you on window coverings. We can help you remove window coverings and put them in a safe place.
    It may be a great time to have draperies professionally cleaned.
  4. Mask windows with plastic and masking paper as needed.
  5. Mask cabinets or other built-ins with plastic as needed.
  6. Mask light fixtures as needed to ensure they are protected.
  7. Remove all switch plates and outlet covers, and protect the switches and outlets with masking tape.
  8. Spackle nail holes in walls as needed.
  9. Patch any drywall that is damaged. Typically we have identified needed repairs in the bid.
  10. Sand and spackle nail holes and dings as needed on woodwork.
  11. Caulk all joints on painted woodwork and where trim meets walls or ceilings as needed.
  12. Clean surfaces as necessary before any priming or painting.
  13. Apply premium quality paint to maximize paint life.
  14. Remove all protective masking, return furniture and window coverings in place, provide labeled touchup paint, and complete any other cleanup.
